We lost Calvin two years ago today.
We're remembering those of you who reached out the first year, came to be with us on this day last year, and grateful for all of the support we received from all of you. If you knew him, please don't forget him. There's truly no one else like Calvin. He was larger than life. I don't want him to be forgotten. If you didn't know him and just know him as a kid who is now gone, I want you to know that he was not just any kid. I'm not saying that just because I'm his mom, but because he was awe-inspiring to talk to, to laugh with, to hear playing music, to hug, and to love. His empathy for others, and sense of humor, was off the charts, and knowing him made you a better person. He was wise beyond his years, and mind-blowingly beautiful inside and out from birth. We'll never really know why he lost his joy, but before he did, he was the embodiment of joy, light, intelligence, and love. We carry him with us all day every day and will forever, but please remember our boy with us today--the day he decided to leave this world. to edit.

    The Cruthirds Family

The Cruthirds family is moving forward in life the best they can after losing Calvin. Mac is the general manager of a local tech company. Jennifer is a former teacher and now in graduate school for Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is also the founder of The Calvin Cruthirds Foundation. Calvin's brothers are carrying on with their own wonderful outside-the-boxness.

    President and Chairwoman
Jennifer is currently attending full time graduate school for her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. When she isn't studying or managing the Foundation, Jennifer plays the ukulele, writes, and takes her dogs for walks. She is most proud, however, of her family--her three sons (Calvin included) and supportive husband, Mac. And we can't forget their rescue dogs Molly and Luke, their ginger kitty George, and Cali, the old lady tortie cat.
